Buying the freehold or extending the lease of your house

Owners of leasehold houses usually have the right to purchase the freehold of their house. Strict requirements apply and we can advise whether you and your house qualify.

Owners of leasehold houses are usually also entitled to a lease extension of their house of 50 years at a ground rent and without paying a premium. However, as purchasing the freehold of a house is generally a better option, lease extensions of houses are rarely done.
